This was Hunter's first Christmas party.  I spent 3 hours painting faces of the children that attended.

What happens in Batavia stays in Batavia

I went on a golf weekend with 14 women (one was my boss !!!) in Batavia NY.  We golfed at Terry Hills golf course and had a terrific time.  After breakfast on the way to the course we were hit with a mammoth rain storm.  There was so much electricity in the air that everyone's hair was standing on end.  The bus ride from the casino to the hotel to the casino to the hotel was definitely the hilight!

Canada Day in Ottawa

Spent the Canada Day weekend with my son and husband.  We cycled all over and enjoyed all the festivities in the Byward Market and Parliament Hill area.  The hilight was when we were on the bridge to Hull and the Snowbirds flew overhead.  On the way home we stopped at Pidgeon lake to visit baby Hunter.

Wallenda on a wire

I rode my bicycle down to Niagara Falls to see the wire that Nik Wallenda is going to walk on tomorrow night.  There were not a lot of people there yet so I could wander around and take pictures of everything up close.  He will be crossing from Niagara Falls, NY to Niagara Falls, Canada on June 15 at 10:30 pm.  History will be made.  All the big network TV stations were there setting up their cameras.  There are concerns that the Falcons that are nesting in the rock wall may attack him on his walk so that is why he is crossing so late.  I would like to go down tomorrow night to experience it but I yet to figure out how the heck I will get there and back...

We had a wonderful time in St. Maarten with Cathy and Dan.  We stayed at the Sonesta Great Bay in Phillipsburg.

Hunter is 6 days old

I went to work with Danny today and I visited the Kitchener Farmers market and then St. Jacobs Market.  Must return next February when the antique sale is on again!

Baby Hunter has arrived on Feb 12, 2012

We became grandparents on Sunday, February 18, 2012.  Hunter was born in Grimsby and weighed 6 lbs 11 oz.  He is perfect and so cute!  Here are the first photos...

We just found out that Danny's daughter is in labour....so it won't be long before we are grandparents!

A weekend in the snowy north

Here is a pic of my latest knitting project.  It is a super chunky cowl done with Sirdar Indie yarn.  I purchased the kit at Muskoka Yarn Connection in Gravenhurst.  I completed this much on my lunch hour at work so I should be done by the weekend.

Last weekend we went snowmobiling in Sprucedale, Ontario.  After driving 4 1/2 hours north we finally found snow.  We had a great time with Ken & Marie, Wes & Steph and baby Gabi who was very well behaved!

A day in Niagara on the Lake with my daughter.

Just had a lovely day of shopping and lunch with my daughter in Niagara on the Lake.  The snow was falling so softly and it wasn't too cold thankfully.  We ate at the Shaw Cafe which my fellow helped to build.  Here is a picture of the cafe ... sans snow!

Is it really January???

I just got back from a 2 hour ride on my bicycle!  In January!  In CANADA!!!!  Never in my life have I ridden my bicycle in January.  My fella is 4 1/2 hours north trying to find some snowmobiles trails that are open....not many are.

I am currently knitting a cute little pullover and pant set from Bergere de France.  Our first grand-baby is due mid February!

I am 3/4 done the back of the pullover.  The needles are so tiny so progress is slow but I am enjoying this labour of love.
